Christmas Tree-ing

So we found our Christmas tree this past weekend! We hit the road with two of our favorite people and ventured out to Brewer's Christmas Tree Farm in Midway, GA to once again find the perfect tree suitable for our tree stand. Seriously, though, there are so many criteria that have to be met for that stinkin' thing! Nolan wasn't in the best of moods (probably from getting 3 shots the day before), but thank the good Lord for strollers, sunshine, and sawed-off pieces of stump.
It was an eventful, laughable, but super enjoyable and memorable time.
Picking out our tree has always been one of my favorite traditions. And this year was no exception.

Reading one of his favorite books...from a Wendy's kids meal.

These. Two. Gah.

And these two are super special to our family.
So thankful they could Christmas "bush" hunt with us again this year!

The obligatory manly saw picture.

Found our tree!

Watching Daddy and taking in the technique.

It's ridiculously adorable how these little pieces of stump brought this boy to life.
Thanks, Auntie Paige!

We got our tree on Saturday and spent Sunday afternoon decorating.
Nolan adds a whole new element to the festivities. And we kind of LOVE it.

How precious is this ornament Nolan made in the church nursery?!

Our Family Photo Mini-Session

An incredibly sweet (and new) friend so graciously and generously offered to take family pictures in mini-session fashion for Eden Village families this past Sunday. I am still all goo-goo-eyed over what she was able to capture in like (seriously) three minutes flat.
We'll cherish these forEVER, Abby.
Thank you, sweet friend!

There's just nothing like kicking off the holiday season with updated family photos! Am I right?
I just can't contain my love for these two.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Kevin Went to His First UGA Game Day!
Happy Nolan Decided to Walk Day!
Happy Uncle Nate is Home From His Deployment Day!

It was a big day.

Halloween was extra special for us this year. I so enjoyed getting to take part in our neighborhood's festivities. It was extremely festive and family friendly and felt like it was straight out of a movie.

I'll remember the fun forever.

Just a zookeeper and her monkey

We were amongst the cutest: a monkey, Ms. Pacman, a cheerleader, ball player, a bull, duckling, and lion.

Meanwhile the boys...

Madrac Farms

We went to a pumpkin patch yesterday!

I hang out with a group of incredible women on Thursdays. It's become a super important and special part of my week. Some weeks we just hang and drink coffee at each others' homes and other weeks we get adventurous. Coffee shop, lunch, long walks, the park, story time at the library, pumpkinnn patchesss.

Fall weather hasn't truly settled in here yet, so it was toasty. Like if we weren't in the shade, summertime toasty. But we picnicked, hay-rode, slid, fed goats, and picked out the perfect pumpkin because it IS Fall and Fall needs to be celebrated.

Next time I'll remember to take my camera, but I'm not sad about what I was able to capture with my trusty phone!

And then we came home, and I took pictures of Nolan playing with his pumpkin.
And I'm that mom who can't choose just one.
